The Green Canopy Charity
For each Coronation Darwin Chair and Turner Counter Stool sold, Gabriella James will ‘Plant a Tree’ in association with The Queen’s Green Canopy, a charity established to mark the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invited people from across the United Kingdom to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee.’
As well as inviting the planting of new trees, The Queen’s Green Canopy dedicated a network of 70 Ancient Woodlands across the United Kingdom and identify 70 Ancient Trees to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.
A traditionally woven Union flag is meticulously upholstered onto the seat of the Darwin and the Turner Counter Stool. The Union Flag combines the crosses of the three countries, England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland under one Sovereign.
