Special Edition Coronation Darwin Chair

To mark the Coronation of King Charles III, we have designed a Special Edition Coronation Darwin Chair. The naturally soft seat is upholstered in a traditionally woven Union Flag. For each Coronation Darwin sold, Gabriella James will ‘Plant a Tree’ in association with the late Queen Elizabeth II Green Canopy Charity founded in 2022 to mark her Platinum Jubilee. We love this Modern Windsor Chair and we hope you do as well!

An Award Winning Design

The Darwin Armchair is a stylish twist on the quintessential Windsor chair. The unique design draws on the classic Windsor features but incorporates a more contemporary look.

Traditionally crafted in solid English ash with steam-bent back spindles, and a generously sculpted back for comfort, it has the added luxury and comfort of a naturally soft upholstered seat.

This beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced shape make the Darwin an extremely versatile chair for any setting from bedroom to office and everywhere in between.

The Special Edition Coronation Darwin is meticulously upholstered in a traditionally woven Union Flag.

The beautifully woven flag correctly displays the three heraldic crosses of the Union - the prominent red cross of St George, patron saint of England, is carefully centred on the seat, joined by the diagonal white cross on a blue ground of the cross of St Andrew, patron saint of Scotland, and the diagonal red cross on white of St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland.

The Darwin is an iconic design. Hand-carved from sustainably sourced English Ash specially selected for the depth of natural grain. Our specialist polishing team can hand-oil, stain or wax the Darwin to any natural shade to match your cabinetry and overall interior.
